Models

Instructions

Advisors can use Model Portfolios to easily invest some or all of a client's assets into one or multiple custom-created portfolios, rather than tediously managing individual investments in single instruments. Models allow the advisor to establish target percentage allocations for the custom portfolio, and to rebalance as desired using this technology. To do so, please follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Click Menu in the top left corner > Trade > Models

  2. The Model Portfolio page will populate on your screen.

  3. Select Create Model to create a Model Portfolio.

  4. Enter a Model Name, Model Description, and select the Type of Model (Static or Dynamic).

  5. Select Add Position and enter a product to add to the Model Portfolio.

  6. Once the position has been added, enter a Target % for this product. Adjust the Cash Target % as needed.

  7. Add additional positions to the model portfolio by repeating step 5.

  8. Enter a Target % for the additional products.

  9. Once you have finished enter in the products and Target %, press Save Model in the bottom right corner.

  10. A Model Summary screen will populate with information regarding the model and the positions in the model.

  11. Click Invest to invest your clients into the model.

  12. Enter an amount to invest to the right of the client accounts being invested into this model.

  13. Select Draft Orders to save these orders and prepare to submit the trades.

  14. Select Submit Transfers to place the trades.

  15. The Orders & Trades page will appear with any working and executed trades.
